Brookside Botanical Gardens Adventure

If you are a local Marylander, the butterfly exhibit at the Brookside Botanical Gardens is not to be missed. Go early before the crowds come so you aren’t fighting for space in the small, and very humid butterfly sanctuary.

Well over 300 beautiful butterflies flew around us, eating from fruit trays, drinking from the various fountains, and seemly playing with one another.

Ella got a big kick out seeing them all fly around her and would yell out an enthusiastic “HI” when one landed near her. We were planning on walking around the grounds afterwards but it rained so we headed home. The next day we returned and took a bunch of cute photos of the little miss (pictures to come).

A little shy - a butterfly was on the ground near her

Here is it, mom!

Adam and Ella wanted nothing to do with the touch and feel exhibit - this little guy was dead :(
